Plastazote LD24

Plastazote LD24 is a lightweight, closed-cell polyethylene foam with a density of approximately 24 kg/m³. It is part of the Plastazote foam family, known for its excellent durability, flexibility, and thermal insulation properties. This foam is manufactured using a nitrogen expansion process, making it non-toxic, odorless, and free of harmful chemicals.

Key characteristics of Plastazote LD24 include:

  • Lightweight: Its low density makes it easy to handle and suitable for applications requiring weight reduction.
  • Closed-cell structure: Provides superior resistance to water, moisture, and air penetration.
  • Shock absorption: Ideal for cushioning, impact resistance, and vibration damping.
  • Thermal insulation: Excellent thermal conductivity of 0.036 W/mK at 10°C makes it ideal for insulation applications.
  • Flammability: Meets automotive FMVSS.302 standards with a burn rate of less than 100 mm/min.
  • Non-toxic and hypoallergenic: Safe for use in medical and food-related applications.
  • Dimensions: Standard plank dimensions are 2000x1200 mm with thickness ranging from 1-300 mm.
