CNC milling

At Linde Larsen Flightcases, we have an extensive machine park with waterjets, foam splitters, shredders, and much more that we use in our production of flight cases and custom foam solutions. The working horses of our manufacturing operations are our CNC machines. CNC milling is the process of using a CNC machine to remove material from a workpiece. A CNC machine is computer controlled, which means that material is cut with high precision and consistency.

How do we work with CNC milling?

When working with CNC machines, we start by identifying what the customer needs. Our technical drawers design a custom foam solution using computer-aided design software programs and produce a CAD file that instructs the CNC machine what to cut.

Advantages of using CNC machines:

Precision: As the CNC system is programmed with precise coordinates, it moves around the tool with high accuracy and minimal variance, so the quality of the components we cut is consistent.

Material Versatility: A CNC machine can operate different tools. This makes it versatile to use for different materials such as wood and foam, and for different jobs, such as drilling, cutting or milling.

Safety: As the machine is controlled automatically, workers do not come near the tools during operation, reducing the risk of injuries and improving safety conditions of our work environment
