What is water jet cutting?

Waterjet cutting is a technique of using water to cut various materials. We use water jet cutting to make millimeter-precise foam fixtures. We start with a dialogue where we identify the customer's needs. Next, our technical draftsmen set to work designing a custom foam interior. This results in a so-called CAD file that the water jet cutter can read.

We place the selected foam material on the water jet cutter, which with high precision cuts out the desired components, which are quality assured and sent on to assembly, where the foam device is mounted in the case.

Advantages of using water jet cutting

Speed and precision: The machine cuts the foam with a jet of water as thin as a hair and at twice the speed of sound. This means that we can cut with high speed and precision.

Clean working environment: Because the machine uses water to cut, it does not emit heat that can melt materials, and thus the working environment is kept free of dust, smoke and fumes.

No time wasted: A traditional CNC milling machine spends time switching between different tools. A water jet cutter uses water to cut so no time is wasted switching between tools.
