At Linde Larsen Flightcases, we have an extensive machine park with waterjets, CNC mills, foam splitters, and much more that we use in our production of flight cases and custom foam solutions. One of these tools is the laminating machine that we use to create adhesive-coated foam. Adhesive coating is a process we use to create adhesive-coated foam. The sheet is inserted into the laminating machine that applies a layer of glue to the material as well as a protective film that can be removed when the adhesive-coated foam is to be attached to a surface.
Adhesive-coated foam can be used when you want to add a layer of foam to a surface. The self-adhesive foam has a number of properties that are useful in various industries for equipment protection, sound insulation, or to drawers, cases and other storage solutions.
An application that one of our customers has used adhesive-coated foam for is sound insulation of a podcast studio. The properties of foam makes it excellent at absorbing sound waves. By attaching adhesive-coated foam sheets to the walls, the foam acts as an acoustic panel, reducing echo.
